I have a Panasonic PV-GS200 miniDV camcorder that I haven't been able to download videos to my computer since I got a new Dell computer with Windows 7. I have added a firewire 1394 card that operates at 400/200/100 Mbps and shows on my computer. When I plug in my camera, it shows up in the devices with an 'attention' icon. Under properties it looks for a driver. Panasonic has no support for this camcorder using Windows 7. ![]() Do I need a software package to make the 1394 card & camcorder communicate? My old computer used Windows XP operating system & the camera came with video software that worked as soon as I plugged the camcorder in. I really don't want to have to purchase a new camcorder just to work with Windows 7. Hi, Panasonic PV-GS200 miniDV camcorder is not compatible with Windows 7.
